1. He rarely gave interviews, so he was a bit of an enigma. Kubrick By Candlelight is an multi award winning romantic comedy set behind the scenes of the filming of the Stanley Kubrick motion picture Barry Lyndon which shot in Southern Ireland in 1973. The only lens that would allow enough light in was a special lens Zeiss made for NASA. On his last film, Eyes Wide Shut (1999), his contract for both his stars and bit-part actors alike stated that there was no time limit for their work on the film.
