Carrigain is one of the few mountains that still has a tower, and it provides some of the best views in the White Mountains. Trail starts out as a mild climb and meanders with the Whiteface Brook.
This out-and-back hike follows Signal Ridge Trail up Mount Carrigain which offers fantastic views both from Signal Ridge and from the mountaintop fire tower. The base of the trail was around 1400' and the summit around 4700' so the total elevation gain would be about 3300' over 5 miles.
